Who we are
These terms apply to all tours by Switi Tours, based in Paramaribo, Suriname, registration number [PLACEHOLDER, registration number].
Booking and confirmation
An enquiry by form, WhatsApp or email commits you to nothing. A booking exists only once we have confirmed it in writing and the deposit has been paid.
The deposit is 20% of the tour price. The balance is paid in cash on the day of the tour, in SRD, euros or US dollars.
Cancellation
You may cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the start; your deposit is refunded in full. Cancelling within 48 hours forfeits the deposit.
If we cancel, for weather, an impassable road, guide illness or other force majeure, we offer an alternative date or a full refund, at your choice.
Group size
Tours run from 2 people and cap at 8. Larger groups are split across several guides.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for a valid travel document, the required tourist card or visa, your vaccinations and adequate travel insurance.
Declare medical conditions, allergies and limited mobility when you enquire. Every tour page states plainly who the tour is not suitable for; that information exists to be used.
Liability
Participation is at your own risk. We are not liable for loss or injury except where caused by our intent or gross negligence. We are not liable for missed flights or connections.
Travel insurance with medical cover and repatriation is a condition of participation.
Prices
Prices are in euros and per person. What is included is stated on each tour page. Prices may change, but never after your booking is confirmed.
Complaints and applicable law
Tell us immediately if something goes wrong during the tour; we can usually fix it on the spot. Afterwards, email hallo@switi-tours.com. Surinamese law applies to this agreement.
